What is the team check-in time?
The number of teams that register determines check-in time.
Are the coaches allowed free admission?
Two complimentary passes will be given to each team. Additional
coaches must pay spectator’s admission price. Please note: view Six Flags Registration Packet and Golden State National Championship Packet for coaches policy.
Will you provide a warm-up area?
Yes. Each team will have 3 minutes to warm up prior to their performance.

When is the registration deadline?
30 days prior to the event.

Is the deadline for the registration a
received-by or postmarked date?
It is a “RECEIVED BY” date. Since we have already
begun to receive registrations, there is possibility of reaching
capacity before the deadline. The order of the competition is created
in the order registration is received. Therefore, we recommend that
all registrations be submitted as soon as possible.
What are the spectator fees?

How will I know what time my team will
perform?
A tentative schedule will be posted on this website 1 week before
the scheduled event.
What is the fee per participant?
Please view registration forms.
Can I submit my registration after the
deadline?
If space is available. You are required to call us to confirm if
late registration is still being accepted before you send in your
payment. We cannot guarantee that space will be available after the
deadline dates. Only the late registrations with prior approval will
be accepted after the deadline.

As a parent/spectator, may I purchase
tickets in advance?

Will Ivory Arts have awards?
Yes. Ivory Arts will present 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards (Depending
on the number of teams in that category). Perchance only one team is in that category teams are expected to score 80% or more for the 1st place trophy. All participants
will receive an Ivory Arts Participation Ribbon.
Does Ivory Arts/Pacific Coast allow Cross-Competitors?
Yes. All cross-competitors shall be treated as individuals, must
be included on both team rosters, and must submit a Medical
Waiver/Agreement of Compliance form and separate payments for
each team with whom they are competing.
Will I need to provide my own spotters?
Yes. Spotters will not be provided at any Ivory Arts competition. If
the coaches and/or advisors feel they need to be present or have another
senior team member on the floor as their team is performing they are
welcome to do so. It is expected that teams will come with safe routines,
have performed the skills to perfection and have been taught how to
fall out of stunts in a safe way. Please note: spotters will be provided at Six Flags Season Premiere Cheer and Dance Competition.

is the time limit for the routine?
Please note all routines are limited to 2 minutes 30 seconds (except for Duel/Battle which is 2 minutes)
What is this new category called “T.U.R.F”?
T.U.R.F. is a style of dance that originated from Oakland, California. Turf
dancing requires dancers to perform a skit by using
pantomime, facial expressions, movement and appropriate gestures.
The skit must have a beginning, middle, and an end. Usually, this
style of dance is complimented with Funk/Hip-Hop.
What is this new category called Duel/Battle?
Duel/Battle is a new dance category, which allows two teams to face off
for a total of 2 minutes. Both teams will dance to the same pre-selected song and alternate
battling every 30 seconds (The pre-selected song is chosen by Ivory Arts, Inc.). Each team will have the opportunity to showcase their
best dance moves. The
audience decides the winner by their applause and cheers.

May we videotape the competition?
No. Video recording of any part of the competition is strictly prohibited.
Spectators or coaches found using video cameras will be removed
from the facility. Ivory Arts, Inc. will be taping all of the teams
and group competitions and these professional videos will be available
for purchase. (Please pass this information on to your parents).
Can I take pictures during the competition?
No. Photography of any type is strictly prohibited for it is distracting
and may cause harm during performances. Please be advised anyone
taking photos will be escorted out of the facility.
